Plurky Blogger Challenge - It's a Formality Thing

I'm a jeans, shirt and boots kinda girl so the idea of getting all dressed up to me means painting my toe nails!  For some reason, I didn't think that would suffice for this challenge.  Fortunately however, one of the joys of SL is the ability to dabble in things you wouldn't normally do.  So here is my attempt at formality..

I haven't done any major manipulating with photos for a long time, so I'm hoping this has turned out ok.  I don't think it does justice to just how gorgeous a dress it is that I am wearing so i strongly recommend getting over to Phoenix Rising before the 30th of October and snapping it up for yourself for a mere $25L.

Plurky Blogger Challenge 2 - Gone But Not Forgotten

This one was haaaaard, so hard in fact that I had to bend the rules just slightly to include a brand that is almost gone :(  The reason for the lateness of this post, given that the challenge actually started on Sunday, is that I've been searching everywhere to see if (madsy) still exists. I can't find it anywhere, so I think I'm safe to use this jacket, which I have loved from the minute I bought it.  Anyway, it's late and I'm tired so I'm keeping this post short and sweet.  To the designers, thank you for enriching the fabric of our Second Lives while you did....gone (or almost) but not forgotten:

I'm in mourning, not that I need that as an excuse to wear a completly black outfit, but Pheonix Rising is closing.  I love LOVE Phoenix and i'm very sad to see them go.  What is it with people closing up shop lately?
