A little bit of Vintage

Vintage Fair is upon us again and oh my goodness there is so much fabulousness available I can't even begin to describe it to you.  I thought I would start off my Vintage Fair extravaganza with a simple, yet gorgeous, bathing suit from Miamai.  So sweet, this beautiful swimming costume is detailed with a simple ruffle over the hips, you just can't wrong. 

There are a plethora of new skins available this year too, in the above picture I'm wearing the new Indy skin by Essences, however Inka Mexicola loves to spoil her customers for choice, so you have two brand spanking new skins available, Indy, which was released a few days prior to Vintage Fair

And Moira which has been launched exclusively for the Fair.

Hair Fair - Epoque & Wasabi Pills

Hello my sweets, firstly I must apologise for the lack of posting and particularly for the delay of posting for Hair Fair.  Shortly after my last post, I pinched a nerve in my back and shoulder which rendered me pretty much useless.  Fortunately I'm on the mend now and have lots and lots and lots of hair to inundate you with... aren't you lucky?

First up we have the amazing Epoque

With 4 amazing styles (3 female, 1 male) on offer this year, I really couldn't go past epoque meshy goodness, you really shouldn't either!

Next up is the always amazing Wasabi Pills.

  I have to be honest, I didn't really know a lot about Wasabi Pills until mesh launched, but MissAllSunday Lemon has smashed mesh hair out of the ball park and I just adore her for it.  She also has 4 amazing styles up for grabs at Hair Fair and I love each and every single one of them!

Stand 4 Love

It continues to baffle me daily that here in the year 2012, we as a society, still feel the need to place labels and exclusivity on the idea of love and the notion of marriage, it is for this reason that I'm very proud to be involved in the Stand 4 Love campaign.  Stand 4 Love is an awareness initiative aimed at promoting the rights of all couples, be they gay, lesbian, bisexual or straight.  It is a campaign dedicated to the need for tolerance, understanding and most importantly acceptance of love in all its different shapes and sizes.

Summer loving

As autumn very quickly turns to winter down here in Australia, I find myself longing more and more for the warmer days of summer.  But while I endure the 6 month wait, I can of course lap up some beautiful summer day adventures here in Second Life.   This too cute for words kite prop from Lisp was just what I needed to brush those winter blues away, throw on some shorts and go and play in the virtual sun for a while.  This prop is Lisp's latest release from the June cycle of Collabor88 and comes with 10 poses and a bunch of different texture change options.  Collabor88 is open now.

Izzie Button from Izzie's has been on a bit of a skin making extravaganza over the last few months with several new skins releases.  The skin I'm wearing today is her latest release Estella.  There is a beautiful youthful exuberance to all of Izzie's skins and this one is no exception.  With this latest release we see the introduction of 3 new skin tones ranging from her lightest shade of porcelain right through to her darkest being ebony, that makes 9 skin tones in total, which is sure to make an skin lover happy.  I'm wearing the new natural tone and I absolutely adore it. This gorgeous skin comes with a bunch of different eye make ups and lipsticks all on tattoo layers so you can mix and match to your hearts content.  If you have never tried an Izzie's skin before now is the perfect time to start!

Unashamed Desire

After more than a month away from blogging due to vacations and some intimate time spent with my inventory I'm feeling a little rusty, but it's nice to be back.  And what better why to get back into things then with some fabulous new releases from Glam Affair and Maitreya!

Back in Black

I've never liked being boxed much and anyone who knows me, knows my style jumps all over the place with my mood.  After wandering the grid for a few days as a prima ballerina (see last post) and taking another trip the Festival of Sin, I felt the need to go for something a little more edgy. 

My visit to Festival of Sin proved more than fruitful, I absolutely adore these tights from AddiCt and the body suit from Kyoot is just perfect and both of these delicious items are available from the festival.

Still playing a little catch up with Part II of the 52 Weeks of Colour Challenge, but I'm hoping to be back on track by the end of the weekend.  Alice blue wasn't the easiest colour to find but then I remembered this skirt from Atomic and it was oh happy days!

More importantly, there is this little event going on at the moment that you may have heard of called Festival of Sin (c'mon admit it, you've all been and gleefully purchased your walk of shame dress :p).  Aida from Glam Affair has released a new skin for the event called Vanity and she is just as pretty and perfect as you would expect anything from Glam to be.  Ms Ewing is a master when it comes to pixels and new Glam Affair always makes me happy!  Unedited pictures of the stunning new skins are below:

Fishy Strawberry have finally released some more mesh items and I couldn't be more thrilled about it!  FS is a store I've always liked, but haven't shopped there heavily for some time, you see their sizing was always very odd against my shape, which meant I had to modify (often far beyond my patience level) prims to get them to fit, this of course allllll changes when you come to mesh clothes and especially mesh clothes that adopt the standard sizing (best idea ever!).  So with that I very quickly bundled myself off to Fishy Strawberry today and had an absolute field day with the new releases, one of which is this gorgeous sweater I'm wearing.  You can see all new releases (some of which are not mesh) at the main store.

Learning to walk again

Hello again my lovelies, today I'm showing off a little more from the Four Corners Event (running Dec 17th - 31st), spiced up with a dash of the offerings from the With Love...Again Hunt, as well as some Fashionably Dead and Maitreya newness just for good measure.  With so much going on in world, how is a simple girl to keep up?

I am completely infatuated with this Jacket from Beetlebones, it's one of the many treasures waiting for you at 4 Corners and it is just to die for!  It is Mesh, so you will need a mesh enabled viewer to see it, but c'mon if this jacket doesn't entice you to embrace mesh, than I don't know what will!!

Also a little note about the sweater I am wearing.  I adore Gawk, all of their items are so well made, and for a mere $10L it can be yours.  It is the prize on offer for taking part in the With Love...Again hunt that is currently running.  There are so awesome pieces on offer for you with this hunt and I would really recommend getting into the spirit and going and finding the little red gift boxes!

4 Corners, which side are you on?

4 Corners is an event that is the brain child of the amazing Emily Kaestner of Croire.  The basic theme is the promotion of four current fashion trends being Delicate Damsel, Bikes and Spikes, Alluring Modesty and Delightfully Bright.  The sim is literally divided into four corners, one for each theme.  The designers participating are confinded to the theme of their relevant corner and oh my are there some awesome goodies to be had!  Most of what i'm wearing come from the Bikes & Spikes corner, which I pesonally had a lot of fun in!

The event started at midnight so is open NOW.  All that is left to decide is, whose side are you on?

Black Friday

You may have heard of this little Black Friday Sale going on over at The Warehouse.  Armidi have pulled out a lot of their old treasures and gotten together with several other stores including The Body Shop, Abyss and The Botique and put together this rather delightful $100L sale for today only!  (I'm running a little late posting about it because my computer has a sick sense of humour).

Despite the fact that Armidi hasn't really released anything new in a long long time, many of their garments still hold up against current Second Life designs.  There certainly are some bargins to be had, so make sure you join The Warehouse group and head on over before midnight.

Hi folks, one day i swear i will get back into the swing of posting more often than once every other week, i feel like a bit of a duck out of way lately but anywho...  I've wanted to do an all white outfit for a long time now i've just never been able to find the right pieces to pull it all together..until i found this jacket!  Isn't it to die for?  It's the newest release from Leezu and I just had to have it. The detail on this is just amazing, honestly you have to see it for yourself!   Now the sign does say sculpted system mesh??  I have no idea what that means and I can't find any actual mesh per say, but thought I should mention just in case. 

We also, finally, have the full release of the new Illusory skin called Paige.  I looooove her!  The fatpack is a little on the pricey side, but if you love Ivy's skins as much as I do then it is a definite must have.

Croire have released a super cute set of tattoo nail polishes annnd they are FREE... I am a big BIG fan of tattoo nail polish mainly because it is so convenient and I am a little retarded when it comes to trying to fit prim nails, so these were right up my ally.  If you are prim nail challenged too check them out! The nail colours are split into three packs and are or will be available from separate locations - The Earth pack will be available for free from the Seraphim HQ soon. The Delicates will be a free gift at Vintage Fair, opening November 11 and the Brights pack are already available at the main store depraved hunt gift.

Last but not least these gorgeous shoes from Pixel Mode were new out this week as well, I adore the wood detail on them.  The wood is changeable through a hud so you have a degree of customization available and if that isn't enough to entice you there is a special little jewellery pack thrown in with the shoe box as well.

A little bit more from the stunning new collection available at LaViere with a dash of lots of my other favourite things!  I can't begin to tell you how much I adore this dress, whilst it works perfectly on its own i preferred to pair it with these spiffy leggings made by the fabulous Steffy Ghost. 

Also, I'm loving these skin previews that Ivy Graves has been tossing around for the new line that is due to hit illusory stores eventually.  This particular skin was available at the launch of Collabor88 for a mere $88L (seriously how attractive is that price?).  I believe the skin is still available until the 7th of September but I may be wrong.  I have included a link to the Collabor88 event though for anyone who wishes to check it out.

One of these days

Hi hi, I'm slowing getting back into the swing of this blogging thing.  Trust me when I tell you that you don't wanna know how long it took me to actually get a decent shot out of Second Life.  I'm waaay outta practice.  I'm trying a new picture layout, I've seen a few people do this now and I actually quite like it.  It shows all the detail without redonkulously large pictures slowing down the blog or associated feeds, especially for people on slower connections but we will see, I tend to get bored easily.

Fifty Linden Friday last week was a definite goldmine for the thrifty shopper.  I've been wearing this dress from Tres Blah ever since and, as of about 5 minutes ago, it is still up in Juliette's shop at Lula for $50L so if you haven't got it yet... go go go

Last but not least, I was very humbled last week to have my blog invited to join the Style Academy.  In case you haven't heard of it, it is a somewhat new feed dedicated to high quality style and photography.  It's definitely worth checking out and I'm thrilled to have been invited along for the ride!

I am happiest when it's a Glam Affair

You will always find me bouncing off the walls with excitement when I get word of the fact that Glam Affair is about to release a new skin and the introduction of Layla was no exception.  Isn't she lovely?

The below picture is a selection of makeups that are available in the fatpack for this delicious skin.  The shots are raw from SL so you can get a true indication for just how stunning Layla is without my lack of photoshop skills screwing it all up.

There is also an abundance of tattoo layer lipsticks available for the lovely miss Layla so you can mix and match your eyeshadow with your choice of lip colour and I am a big big fan of this!!

Layla is currently available from the Skin and Shape Expo, and honestly she is worth fighting the lag for as Aida Ewing never disappoints!

In other newness we have this delight new dress from S H I N E which is currently available at The Fashion Garret, as much as I do adore this dress though I have to caution that the shoulders are no mod, which makes it interesting to try and fit.  I'm sure designers have their reasons for no modding items, but as a consumer i struggle to understand it myself.

Last but now least LaGyo has had a new release in their Mademoiselle collection and my goodness.. breathtaking is all I can say!
