Hair Fair 2012 - Lamb, Fashionably Dead & LaViere

Hair Fair is heading into its last 24 hoursish so now seems like the perfect opportunity to remind of you of some of the amazing styles that have made this years Fair a roaring success.

Lamb - Wild at Heart, Falling, Blue Velvet & In Heaven

Lamb has 4 female styles and 1 male style up for grabs at Hair Fair this year.  If you read my blog regularly you will know I'm a huge fan of all things Lamb and this years offerings are no exception, however I wouldn't be doing my job properly if I didn't warn you that there is a slight rigging problem with the Wild at Heart and Blue Velvet styles.  This doesn't impact the wearability of the stunning hair styles generally, but some poses will cause the hair to disappear into the side of your head.

Fashionably Dead - Beanie Baby, Saturday, Maire, Garden and Sunday

I'm always excited to see what Fashionably Dead offers up at Hair Fair time and this year Toast Bard has gone for some simply beautiful and feminine styles that are sure to please even the most discerning fashionista.

I think I must have been living under a bit of rock prior to Hair Fair as I had no idea that Azure Electricteeth made hair under her LaViere brand and smashing hair at that.  These 3 styles are quite possibly some of the my absolute favourite must have picks at this years fair!

Hair Fair - Epoque & Wasabi Pills

Hello my sweets, firstly I must apologise for the lack of posting and particularly for the delay of posting for Hair Fair.  Shortly after my last post, I pinched a nerve in my back and shoulder which rendered me pretty much useless.  Fortunately I'm on the mend now and have lots and lots and lots of hair to inundate you with... aren't you lucky?

First up we have the amazing Epoque

With 4 amazing styles (3 female, 1 male) on offer this year, I really couldn't go past epoque meshy goodness, you really shouldn't either!

Next up is the always amazing Wasabi Pills.

  I have to be honest, I didn't really know a lot about Wasabi Pills until mesh launched, but MissAllSunday Lemon has smashed mesh hair out of the ball park and I just adore her for it.  She also has 4 amazing styles up for grabs at Hair Fair and I love each and every single one of them!

Pose Fair 2012 - It's a couple thing

The third annual Pose Fair still has a few days to run, so I thought I would show you some of the yummy couple poses available.

Glitterati, in my humble opinion, makes some of the best couple and group poses available.  They nearly always fit my shape right out of the box and there are very very rarely ever limbs sticking in places they shouldn't b,e but perhaps most importantly, is Katey Coppola's ability to capture emotion through her work.  The poses above and below are both available from the Glitterati booth at Pose Fair and they are both just so adorable you really do need to have them!

I have to admit, I didn't really know very much about Exposeur prior to The Festival of Sin... yes I know.. I live under a rock... but... I had such an awesome time at Festival that I couldn't help but run to Exposeur at Pose Fair to see what goodies were to be had and of course... Ruby didn't disappoint!

On a side note, I had to bring out my poor male alt today to shoot these photos and I just have to say, I have renewed respect for the male bloggers of our little world.  Your job is tough and so many of you do it so very well!)

Introducing Leah by Glam Affair

As you may have heard Squinternet Larnia, the fabulous designer behind Donna Flora, has been exceptionally unwell fighting a nasty battle with an even more horrible disease, so when I saw Cajsa Lilliehooke was organising a little tribute/ pick me up A - Z Challenge, I knew I just had to be a part of it.  I scored the letter M (great choice, I must say!)

I don't know Squinternet personally, but I do have a great deal of admiration for the stunning collection of designs, both clothes and jewellery, that she contributes to our second lives.  Designers bring so much colour to our world here and the opportunity to try and bring a little bit of happiness to her at a time she really needs it, was simply too much to pass up. So Squinternet, stay strong, fight hard and get well soon, but in the mean time, know that there is an entire community sending positive thoughts your way.

52 Weeks of Colour - Alice Blue

Still playing a little catch up with Part II of the 52 Weeks of Colour Challenge, but I'm hoping to be back on track by the end of the weekend.  Alice blue wasn't the easiest colour to find but then I remembered this skirt from Atomic and it was oh happy days!

More importantly, there is this little event going on at the moment that you may have heard of called Festival of Sin (c'mon admit it, you've all been and gleefully purchased your walk of shame dress :p).  Aida from Glam Affair has released a new skin for the event called Vanity and she is just as pretty and perfect as you would expect anything from Glam to be.  Ms Ewing is a master when it comes to pixels and new Glam Affair always makes me happy!  Unedited pictures of the stunning new skins are below:

Back to Black Part 3

I very very very rarely wear formal wear in Second Life, not because there aren't some great designs out there, but mostly because I have nowhere to wear them and well made formal wear is often rather expensive in terms of the Second Life economy.  However, when I saw this dress by Plank Couture at Back to Black, I just had to have it and i've been having fun running around it for about a day and half now.  Don't wanna invite me to Ball, no problem... i'll wear it to Callob88 instead! :p

Back to Black is a mental health awareness event, bought to by Chic Management.  The event will open to the public on 11th February and landmarks will be available at that time.

Learning to walk again

Hello again my lovelies, today I'm showing off a little more from the Four Corners Event (running Dec 17th - 31st), spiced up with a dash of the offerings from the With Love...Again Hunt, as well as some Fashionably Dead and Maitreya newness just for good measure.  With so much going on in world, how is a simple girl to keep up?

I am completely infatuated with this Jacket from Beetlebones, it's one of the many treasures waiting for you at 4 Corners and it is just to die for!  It is Mesh, so you will need a mesh enabled viewer to see it, but c'mon if this jacket doesn't entice you to embrace mesh, than I don't know what will!!

Also a little note about the sweater I am wearing.  I adore Gawk, all of their items are so well made, and for a mere $10L it can be yours.  It is the prize on offer for taking part in the With Love...Again hunt that is currently running.  There are so awesome pieces on offer for you with this hunt and I would really recommend getting into the spirit and going and finding the little red gift boxes!

Black Friday

You may have heard of this little Black Friday Sale going on over at The Warehouse.  Armidi have pulled out a lot of their old treasures and gotten together with several other stores including The Body Shop, Abyss and The Botique and put together this rather delightful $100L sale for today only!  (I'm running a little late posting about it because my computer has a sick sense of humour).

Despite the fact that Armidi hasn't really released anything new in a long long time, many of their garments still hold up against current Second Life designs.  There certainly are some bargins to be had, so make sure you join The Warehouse group and head on over before midnight.

Bloom Dolls & Fast Cars

I've been watching the feeds over the course of the day and everyone has been doing the cutest versions of these beyond adorable Bloom dolls from Surf Clothing Company, so I decided to be a little different and do a sporty spice doll instead!  Seriously folks, don't even ask if you should get these, just go and do it!  At the very least, the weird looks you will get wandering around Shoe Fair make it totally worth it!

Next up the lovely Katey Coppola of Glitterati, was nice enough to send a few blogger copies out of her new pose prop.  There are 20 poses included (10 male and 10 female) and oh my goodness, the fun you could have with this!  The car is a stationary prop only so no drive bys in your future but whether you want to be a total dork (like me) or rock the sexy " which is better, me or my car" look, there is something for everyone.  And of course, as with most Glitterati props, all the poses are super easy to modify so you can make them fit any shape!  I believe this sex on wheels I mean, car prop is out now, so once you have finished at Surf Co, head over to Glitterati and snap this up too!

In my heart of hearts, you know it's true

So I've been bugging the lovely Seraphix Rehula of Of Cats and Dogs since Pose Fair to come and do a blog post with me, this post is living proof that you can nag people into submission!  Ok not really, she is just a sweetheart and our timezones finally clicked so she agreed to come play dress ups with me.  Speaking of dress ups, have ya heard Mon Tissu are back with their next release?  Seriously these extremely talented ladies continue to impress me with every new release!

ProjectFur Japan

When a natural disaster, such as the one in Japan, strikes we hear many stories of heartbreak, some of courage and a few of hope.  But animals are often untold victims of disaster.  Coming from Australia, the land of drought, fire and flood, I know all too well what a toll any kind of natural disaster can take on both human and animal life.  ProjectFur is the brain child of Blazin Aubert and Tristan Careless to raise funds for the animals that have been injured, stranded and left for dead due to the recent events in Japan.  Many designers have come together (including the grid famous KittyCats) donating hundreds of items for your shopping pleasure with all proceeds going to charity.  Many items at the event are exclusive, so get in and get em while you can!  Below is just a smattering of what is available

Pose Fair 2011 Part 1

I have an unhealthy addiction to poses, i'll admit it, so letting me loose at Pose Fair was a D A N G E R O U S idea.  As a result my managery of KittyCats are feeling neglected, my SL friends have been wondering why I have been more antisocial than usual and my $L have headed in sharp downward trend that would alarm even the most avid shopper BUT I am one happy little pose junkie.
