I've never liked being boxed much and anyone who knows me, knows my style jumps all over the place with my mood. After wandering the grid for a few days as a prima ballerina (see last post) and taking another trip the Festival of Sin, I felt the need to go for something a little more edgy.

My visit to Festival of Sin proved more than fruitful, I absolutely adore these tights from AddiCt and the body suit from Kyoot is just perfect and both of these delicious items are available from the festival.

Also, my random happy for the day is definitely new LeLutka Mesh Hair and a big YAY for the $1L demos finally being scrapped!

Still playing a little catch up with Part II of the 52 Weeks of Colour Challenge, but I'm hoping to be back on track by the end of the weekend. Alice blue wasn't the easiest colour to find but then I remembered this skirt from Atomic and it was oh happy days!

More importantly, there is this ~~little~~ event going on at the moment that you may have heard of called Festival of Sin (c'mon admit it, you've all been and gleefully purchased your walk of shame dress :p). Aida from Glam Affair has released a new skin for the event called Vanity and she is just as pretty and perfect as you would expect anything from Glam to be. Ms Ewing is a master when it comes to pixels and new Glam Affair always makes me happy! Unedited pictures of the stunning new skins are below:

There are 4 varieties of eye make up available as well as 10 different tattoo lip shades, so plenty of choice for everyone and I would highly recommend you get on your bicycle and check it out!

I very very very rarely wear formal wear in Second Life, not because there aren't some great designs out there, but mostly because I have nowhere to wear them and well made formal wear is often rather expensive in terms of the Second Life economy. However, when I saw this dress by Plank Couture at Back to Black, I just had to have it and i've been having fun running around it for about a day and half now. Don't wanna invite me to Ball, no problem... i'll wear it to Callob88 instead! :p

Fishy Strawberry have finally released some more mesh items and I couldn't be more thrilled about it! FS is a store I've always liked, but haven't shopped there heavily for some time, you see their sizing was always very odd against my shape, which meant I had to modify (often far beyond my patience level) prims to get them to fit, this of course allllll changes when you come to mesh clothes and especially mesh clothes that adopt the standard sizing (best idea ever!). So with that I very quickly bundled myself off to Fishy Strawberry today and had an absolute field day with the new releases, one of which is this gorgeous sweater I'm wearing. Hello again my lovelies, today I'm showing off a little more from the Four Corners Event (running Dec 17th - 31st), spiced up with a dash of the offerings from the With Love...Again Hunt, as well as some Fashionably Dead and Maitreya newness just for good measure. With so much going on in world, how is a simple girl to keep up?

I am completely infatuated with this Jacket from Beetlebones, it's one of the many treasures waiting for you at 4 Corners and it is just to die for! It is Mesh, so you will need a mesh enabled viewer to see it, but c'mon if this jacket doesn't entice you to embrace mesh, than I don't know what will!!

Also a little note about the sweater I am wearing. I adore Gawk, all of their items are so well made, and for a mere $10L it can be yours. It is the prize on offer for taking part in the With Love...Again hunt that is currently running. 4 Corners, which side are you on?

4 Corners is an event that is the brain child of the amazing Emily Kaestner of Croire. The basic theme is the promotion of four current fashion trends being Delicate Damsel, Bikes and Spikes, Alluring Modesty and Delightfully Bright. The sim is literally divided into four corners, one for each theme. The designers participating are confinded to the theme of their relevant corner and oh my are there some awesome goodies to be had! Most of what i'm wearing come from the Bikes & Spikes corner, which I pesonally had a lot of fun in!

The event started at midnight so is open NOW. All that is left to decide is, whose side are you on?

You may have heard of this little Black Friday Sale going on over at The Warehouse. Armidi have pulled out a lot of their old treasures and gotten together with several other stores including The Body Shop, Abyss and The Botique and put together this rather delightful $100L sale for today only! (I'm running a little late posting about it because my computer has a sick sense of humour).

Despite the fact that Armidi hasn't really released anything new in a long long time, many of their garments still hold up against current Second Life designs. There certainly are some bargins to be had, so make sure you join The Warehouse group and head on over before midnight.

Hi folks, one day i swear i will get back into the swing of posting more often than once every other week, i feel like a bit of a duck out of way lately but anywho... I've wanted to do an all white outfit for a long time now i've just never been able to find the right pieces to pull it all together..until i found this jacket! Isn't it to die for? It's the newest release from Leezu and I just had to have it. The detail on this is just amazing, honestly you have to see it for yourself! Now the sign does say sculpted system mesh?? I have no idea what that means and I can't find any actual mesh per say, but thought I should mention just in case.

We also, finally, have the full release of the new Illusory skin called Paige. I looooove her! The fatpack is a little on the pricey side, but if you love Ivy's skins as much as I do then it is a definite must have.

Croire have released a super cute set of tattoo nail polishes annnd they are FREE... I am a big BIG fan of tattoo nail polish mainly because it is so convenient and I am a little retarded when it comes to trying to fit prim nails, so these were right up my ally. If you are prim nail challenged too check them out! The nail colours are split into three packs and are or will be available from separate locations - The Earth pack will be available for free from the Seraphim HQ soon. The Delicates will be a free gift at Vintage Fair, opening November 11 and the Brights pack are already available at the main store depraved hunt gift.

Last but not least these gorgeous shoes from Pixel Mode were new out this week as well, I adore the wood detail on them. The wood is changeable through a hud so you have a degree of customization available and if that isn't enough to entice you there is a special little jewellery pack thrown in with the shoe box as well.

Hello my sweets, i know it has been a while but I've been having no end of crashing viewer issues, which always making blogging so much more enjoyable. Be that as it may, there are just too many tasty treats getting around at the moment, to not persevere and show you some stuff.

This delightful dress from Tram was new when i bought it (a month ago) but if you haven't seen it yet, I would highly recommend it. Well crafted and versatile I had a lot of fun playing dress ups with it. It is mesh though, so make sure you have a mesh enabled viewer and of course try the demo before purchasing.

The hair I'm wearing may just be my favourite mesh release so far, it was a beauty from LeLutka a couple of weeks ago and i looove it. In fact, i haven't taken it off since I purchased it.

The last thing I have been dying to show you are these stunning eyes from Fleur du Mâle. The shots below are raw from SL so you can get a true feel for how they look.

Fleur du Mâle is a relatively new brand that, for the moment, just creates eyes. But if these eyes are anything to go by, I am very much looking forward to seeing what they do next. As you can see the colour combinations are gorgeous and you get a plethora of size and shade options in the pack when you purchase it. The above is just a small sample of the tones available. Since they say the eyes are the windows to the soul, you really should make this a stop on your next shopping trip.

Modiva Fashion Week is an event on most bloggers calenders that can not be missed. Some of the top designers in Second Life coming together to put on a spectacular show of new and stunning pieces for our enjoyment. One of the collections I was most looking forward to was of course the amazing offerings from Miss Maylee Oh of The Secret Store. It will come as no surprise to anyone who reads my blog that any day The Secret Store releases new goodies I'm thrilled, but to release a whole new collection of pure fabulousness... it was like all my Christmases had come at once. I could gush on for pages about how much I adore all the new pieces on offer, but really nothing I can say will do it justice, so i will simply say Maylee never disappoints and this has never been more true than with her new collection! Hi, how are you all doing?! Yes, i know this photo is very bright, but i've been having an absolute hell of a time with viewers black screening me, so in the end, I had to pick the best of a bad bunch of shots, hopefully they aren't too awful. Either way don't let my cruddy photo taking ability sway you from checking out all the yumminess there is.

This dress Maylee Oh released for The Dressing Room last cycle (yes i know, I'm late... sorry!) but it should be available in her shop, if not now, then very soon. The dress itself does also come with a beautiful big flouncy blue bow and belt, that I am not wearing in this shot, but it screams fun and is so versatile!

The skin I'm wearing is a new release from Apple May Designs that goes by the name of Kat. I first stumbled across AMD at Pure Juice earlier this year and I have to say whilst that skin was cute, Apple May skins are improving more and more with each release. There is a sweetness about AMD skins, and I haven't seen too many shapes they don't work on!

Last but not least, I have to totally admit I stole this bag from a blog Harlow Heslop did earlier this week, so thank you Harlow! The bag is gorgeous and the detail is AMA-ZING! The bag is mesh, so if you haven't upgraded your viewer yet you won't be able to see it in world. But upgrading to a mesh capable viewer is worth it, even if it is to just get this bag!

LaViere has released a gorgeous new collection and I think Azure Electricteeth has really excelled herself. I couldn't choose a favourite out of the new releases so I'm pretty sure I go one of just about everything. Many items feature accents which are tintable which I love as a point of difference. If you haven't check it out yet, I'd highly recommend it!

Also, Zigana has redone her sim and it is just beautiful, with many many awesome areas to snap some pictures. Lili Brink has done a post about it here, but seriously step away from Harry Potter Your Story for a half hour or so and go and see it, it's worth the visit.

Hi hi, I'm slowing getting back into the swing of this blogging thing. Trust me when I tell you that you don't wanna know how long it took me to actually get a decent shot out of Second Life. I'm waaay outta practice. I'm trying a new picture layout, I've seen a few people do this now and I actually quite like it. It shows all the detail without redonkulously large pictures slowing down the blog or associated feeds, especially for people on slower connections but we will see, I tend to get bored easily.

Fifty Linden Friday last week was a definite goldmine for the thrifty shopper. I've been wearing this dress from Tres Blah ever since and, as of about 5 minutes ago, it is still up in Juliette's shop at Lula for $50L so if you haven't got it yet... go go go

Last but not least, I was very humbled last week to have my blog invited to join the Style Academy. On a personal note, this is my 100th blog post and I'm kinda thrilled. If you had asked me 99 posts ago whether i thought i would still be doing this, i probably would have laughed at you, Queen of the Mind Changers I am after all! But I love what I do here and I consider myself very lucky to get to do it so I wanted to say thank you - to all the amazing designers that keep colour in my SL world and make it fun and to all the wonderful people I have met through this little venture, the people I bump into in world and those who take the time to leave the occasional comment who make it all worthwhile, you rock my socks <3

Ohai it's been a while. I've been busy setting up and decorating my new SL home the last few weeks, i almost forgot I had a blog... opps. Fortunately for me, the darling miss demi, was sweet enough to send me a copy of her latest additions to the Boom line being these very cute crochet vests and denim shorts. Available in an abundance of colours it's sure to satisfy even the most discerning of shoppers. One of the things I absolutely adore about demi's releases is that I find her sculpt sizing to be more accommodating than a lot of others, if somethings all but fits me straight outta the box, I'm a happy girl and will shout it from the roof tops.

Also, in case you have been living under a rock and didn't know, the new and improved Cupcake Sim has reopened and the new design is absolutely breathtaking. Many of the amazing shops on this sim (and trust me, the list is HUGE) have released some exclusives for the reopening including Dutch Touch which has released a special edition of the Mensje skin that was released earlier this year. If you happen to be one of the poor souls that follows me on plurk, you will know Mensje has been one of my favourite skin releases from Dutch Touch and the opportunity to get her in the new skin tones that Iki has release is just too good to pass up!

I've been watching the feeds over the course of the day and everyone has been doing the cutest versions of these beyond adorable Bloom dolls from Surf Clothing Company, so I decided to be a little different and do a sporty ~~spice~~ doll instead! Seriously folks, don't even ask if you should get these, just go and do it! At the very least, the weird looks you will get wandering around Shoe Fair make it totally worth it!

Next up the lovely Katey Coppola of Glitterati, was nice enough to send a few blogger copies out of her new pose prop. There are 20 poses included (10 male and 10 female) and oh my goodness, the fun you could have with this! The car is a stationary prop only so no drive bys in your future but whether you want to be a total dork (like me) or rock the sexy " which is better, me or my car" look, there is something for everyone. And of course, as with most Glitterati props, all the poses are super easy to modify so you can make them fit any shape! I believe this ~~sex on wheels~~ I mean, car prop is out now, so once you have finished at Surf Co, head over to Glitterati and snap this up too!

You will always find me bouncing off the walls with excitement when I get word of the fact that Glam Affair is about to release a new skin and the introduction of Layla was no exception. Isn't she lovely?

The below picture is a selection of makeups that are available in the fatpack for this delicious skin. The shots are raw from SL so you can get a true indication for just how stunning Layla is without my lack of photoshop skills screwing it all up.

There is also an abundance of tattoo layer lipsticks available for the lovely miss Layla so you can mix and match your eyeshadow with your choice of lip colour and I am a big big fan of this!!

Layla is currently available from the Skin and Shape Expo, and honestly she is worth fighting the lag for as Aida Ewing never disappoints!

In other newness we have this delight new dress from S H I N E which is currently available at The Fashion Garret, as much as I do adore this dress though I have to caution that the shoulders are no mod, which makes it interesting to try and fit. I'm sure designers have their reasons for no modding items, but as a consumer i struggle to understand it myself.

Last but now least LaGyo has had a new release in their Mademoiselle collection and my goodness.. breathtaking is all I can say!

Chic Limited is back with another round of goodness for your shopping pleasure. If i read the notecard right, I believe this is the final round of Chic Limited and if that is the case, I will be sad to see this event go, it has became a monthly staple for me. Anyway, the theme this time around is cherry blossom and Blue Sky has released this uber cute little trailer for the event.

The lounge, the table and chairs, the floor lamp and the wall painting are all included with the trailer. It is also decked out with some pretty funky lights in the roof that you can turn on and off. I have them off in these photos, but if you are feeling your inner disco or just love pink you can turn them on with a click to create an entirely new ambiance. Coming in at 161 prims (including all the furniture you get with it) this cute little trailer would fit on just about any parcel and will definitely assist you in staying within your prim limit as KittyCats overrun your land (oh wait, you mean that is only happening to me?).

When a natural disaster, such as the one in Japan, strikes we hear many stories of heartbreak, some of courage and a few of hope. But animals are often untold victims of disaster. Coming from Australia, the land of drought, fire and flood, I know all too well what a toll any kind of natural disaster can take on both human and animal life. ProjectFur is the brain child of Blazin Aubert and Tristan Careless to raise funds for the animals that have been injured, stranded and left for dead due to the recent events in Japan. Many designers have come together (including the grid famous KittyCats) donating hundreds of items for your shopping pleasure with all proceeds going to charity. Getting back to me

I plurked today that I felt that sometimes we (referring to me) lose sight of why we do things and when that happens, the things we enjoy stop being so enjoyable. I've been so caught up recently in trying to be artsy that I kind of lost some of the enjoyment I get out of blogging. I've been traipsing around in various stages of this outfit now for nearly a week and it all started with this delightful skirt from The Secret Store. We have seen it released in various colours at a few of the charity events that are scattered throughout at the moment but finally the full range has been released a Maylee's store. As with pretty much everything I own from The Secret Store (which is nearly the whole store, shhh don't tell no one) this skirt is amazingly crafted, I really do think she has a gift for sculpting and would highly suggest you get one of your very own.

So much stuff going on at the moment it's hard to keep up. First up we have Pure Juice, many bloggers have already covered this event so I'm not gonna ramble except to say, this jacket from Ladies Who Lunch is pure love! Next up we have one of a few new releases from The Secret Store in these divine tights, I'm a mad sock, tights, leggings person so I gleefully added these to my wardrobe and as with most Secret Store releases there is a huge abundance of colours to choose from. Last but not least we have this super schmexy body suit from Mons which you can currently find on sale at The Fashion House for a mere $50L. Oh also just a quick word about these boots, I had never heard of Kas before until I saw Aida blog them on SLuxury, i was intrigued so I had to check them out. I have to say they are superbly crafted, colour changeable and a total steal at $299L you really should check em out.

Extend A Helping Hand - The Queensland Flood Appeal

I am a Queenslander, this is a statement I have often made with pride, today it is with desperation, despite the fact that I am one of the lucky ones. I have seen some flooding in my suburb but for the most part my home is safe with only a few minor puddles in the backyard. I have both my parents and my grandparents currently residing with me as they have had to evacuate their homes. I have friends and family all over the state that are stranded and have lost everything. I know people on my plurk that have loved ones that are unaccounted for and I am aware of many other Australian Second Life residents that are bracing themselves as the waters continue to rise. My heart, along with millions of others, is breaking as our state drowns.

As i am writing this, Queensland has now been declared a Disaster area. Some three-quarters of the state is currently being effected in some way by rising water. More than 100,000 homes are without power, 12 people have been confirmed dead with another 50+ missing. More than 20,000 properties in Brisbane alone are expected to suffer major flooding by 4am tomorrow morning as the Brisbane river continues to overflow, engulfing all in it's path and that is only one of a handful of scenarios being seen around this state. More concerning is that most of these people are not covered for flooding by insurance as insurance companies, since 1974, have not offered it as an option.

We are desperate and we need your help. Sanura Sakai, along with dozens of very generous vendors, has put together the Extend A Helping Hand Market to raise money for the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal, all funds donated to this appeal will be going to help the victims of the Queensland Flood Disaster. There are some truly wonderful items available, many of them exclusive to the event, such as the gorgeous dress I am wearing in the above picture. So please, dig deep if you can and if you can't, please keep us in your thoughts as we prepare for the worst.

I don't think I have struggled with any of the other colours as much as I did with yellow! I now seem to have an abundance of yellow in my SL wardrobe but when it came time to putting an outfit together I just couldn't get anything to work the way I had in mind, that was until Mon Tissu released their gorgeous new lounge wear, after that everything fell nicely into place and I can finally move onto cerise.

I think I may have actually clawed my way back to the current week's challenge, go me!

For the love of lindens, it has been an expensive week! So, you've heard about this 'little' store called Mon Tissu right? I have been waiting with baited breath for their opening since I saw the very first teaser pictures on plurk and O...M...G, i'll have one of everything in each colour kthankx :p Thennnn Glam Affair goes and releases their new Jadis skin and it is stunning! I don't buy fatpacks of skins often, I usually just grab the 'clean' version so i can tinker with makeups myself, but after demoing the Jadis skins, i snapped that fatpack up faster than you can blink. Soooo long story short, after my little spending spree, my Sepia colour post just had to show off my new stuffs!

I am weeks behind in this challenge thanks to my computer processor that is slowly dying. As half of the world prepares for snow, sleet and Santa some of us are preparing to embrace the warmth and beauty of summer. We all know about Luna Jubilee's colour challenge by now right? This week's colour is grey and as usual I'm a lil late to the party but I did have fun putting this together given that I would say a good 80% of my wardrobe falls into the gray/silver/black category, so I was set for this week.... the other 51 weeks however, could be challenging!

Today I'm also sporting the new Amber skin from League! I've been pretty attached to my atomic skin lately and have been uber fussy when trying on new skins but I do have to say Nena Janus of League has excelled herself with the Amber Skin line, it is completely gorgeous and I have spent alll day kicking myself for being a tightass and only buying one makeup instead of the set! As is usual with League skins, there are HEAPS of options as to how you wear your skin be it with cleavage or freckles or both or none, as well as, an abundance of makeup to keep even the most discerning skin customer (me!) happy. If you haven't seen it yet, go and have a looksie..

The Rumor Sim Dress Up Challenge

Emily Kaestner of Croire let me know through flickr that The Rumor Sim was holding a dress up challenge to celebrate their revamp. Now I love a good challenge, I just never seem to have the time to do many of them lately, but I wanted to see the new Sim layout and this seemed like as good an excuse as any to get myself motivated and go. The rules of the challenge are relatively simple, you must be wearing at least one article from a store on The Rumor Sim, and your photo must be shot on the Sim itself.

I chose to use the cool little auditorium on the Sim and sort of had a whole rocked out image in mind, however gremlins seem to have invaded my computer and made it damn near impossible to take a picture without SL crashing and then just to add to my frustration photoshop decided to hate me too, so please excuse my crappy photography today and do not let it deter you from visiting The Rumor! I've had a long running love affair with the jewellery made by Mister Naith Smith of NSD but when I saw this jacket, I knew instantly, that this affair was about to extend to his clothing line too! There are three new jackets available in his store now but the Gallagher would have to be my favourite. With the option to wear the hood up or down, extra modifiable bits included so you don't have to worry about forgetting to copy them and an overall super comfy feel.... it's definitely a winner.
